DenMed Dental was created to provide nursing facilities and their residents a solution to accessing dental care. Our mission is to organize a dental care team for a collaborative effort to provide dental services on-site, establishing and maintaining Oral Health Excellence (OHE) for nursing facilities, residents, and their family members.
Our dental teams are committed to providing dental care to nursing home residents by licensed, credentialed Dentist and Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) who will visit your facility to deliver quality, compassionate dental services.
Why Oral Health Care is So Important
A lack of oral hygiene can lead to periodontal disease. Since the 1990’s, evidence has emerged associating poor oral health with heart disease, diabetes, and chronic respiratory disease. Studies have also shown that periodontal disease drastically increases as age increases.
Therefore, it is imperative that effective oral hygiene be promoted among your residents to help improve their systemic health, help to reduce hospitalizations, and help to enhance their dignity and quality of life.
How Our On-site Dental care Program Works
- Contract with DenMed to provide On-site Dental Management Solutions
- Identify the patients who need care and enroll them into DenMed Dental’s on-site dental program.
- Work with facility staff to develop individualized oral health plans for participating residents.
- Provide on-site dental service to improve day –to– day oral hygiene and over all oral health and well-being.
